SMHP Research Academy Coming Soon

The SMHP Research Academy is a unique opportunity for SMHP Members who are eager to delve deeper into the world of research studies. It not only provides comprehensive training on the steps and processes involved but also serves as a platform for future educational talks and training videos, expanding your research knowledge and opportunities. We are here to connect you with potential research mentors who will guide you in creating, conducting, and publishing
research literature and support you in your journey to publication.

The SMHP Research Academy’s Mission is multidimensional:

1. To provide training on the creation, design, conduct, and analysis of data for research
   studies.
2. Provide support throughout the process of data analysis.
3. Provide education on the review and evaluation of scholarly research through Quarterly
   Journal Clubs.
4. Provide research mentors for both quantitative and qualitative studies, as well as for data
   analysis.
5. Provide support in accessing the new SMHP RedCap database for data storage and
   compilation.
6. Provide support through the process of manuscript preparation and publication to support
   members and the new SMHP Journal of Metabolic Health.

There are many reasons to join the SMHP, and the Research Academy is one of them. The Academy will offer SMHP members the benefits of learning by using self-paced modules along with module-based graphic organizers to take notes and highlight takeaways from each module. As members work through the training modules, they can access Academy faculty who are ready to assist in any way throughout the process of designing and developing research studies, either on a small or large scale. In addition, the Research Academy will provide a Resources page for all supporting resources and educational materials to benefit skills and knowledge throughout the research process. From design to publication, the SMHP Research Academy is there to support
members for successful research conduct and publication.
