Ingredients:
- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (or unsweetened almond milk for a lighter option)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor
Instructions:
- Prepare Cauliflower: Cut the cauliflower into florets. Steam or boil the cauliflower until it is very tender (about 10-15 minutes).
- Drain and Dry: Drain the cauliflower well and let it sit in the colander for a few minutes to ensure most of the water is removed. You can also pat it dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
- Blend Cauliflower: Place the steamed cauliflower in a food processor or blender. Add the heavy cream (or almond milk), butter, garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy. If you want a chunkier texture, use a potato masher instead.
- Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. You can add more salt, pepper, or butter to suit your taste. For extra flavor, you can mix in the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve: Serve the cauliflower mash warm as a low-carb alternative to mashed potatoes.
